Tulle and Pleated Skirts for Fall/Winter

A few styles I am loving for Fall and moving into Winter are midi or maxi Tulle and Pleated skirts! I keep seeing them when I do my on-line "window" shopping and really want to try them out!

The Tulle is so ethereal and magical and the Pleated is such classic style. I love the fluidity of both styles! Paired with a simple tucked in T-shirt, an oversized comfy sweater, or a delicate lace top (crop top even if you dare), these skirts can be so versatile!! Ok, I think I've sold myself...

Express (also comes in bright red and black)

Enjoy!

Decorating with Thrift Store finds

On Saturday, the hubs and I made the trek over to our old stomping grounds in West Columbia. There are soooooo many thrift stores, consignment shops, and antique stores in that area! Mainly off Meeting Street if you're interested. So many awesome places to hit up if you're looking for a hidden treasure or two (or three).

Here are my amazing finds! A beautiful yellow and blue ginger jar from a consignment shop on the corner of Meeting Street and State Street, a cool frame from His House, and a rustic chair from "Mission Thrift" which is a thrift store off Meeting Street whose proceeds go to funding their mission work in Costa Rica! Get cool things and help support missions, win-win!

Here is how I used my ginger jar: on a console table from Kirkland's with a few hardback books, found in the "Free" bin outside of 2nd and Charles, topped with a spiky objet from Hobby Lobby. Also appearing is a lamp and candle from Target, "South Carolina" picture frame from The Alcoves in Greenwood, SC and a Fiddle Leaf Fig tree from the amazing Woodley's Garden Center which is set in a basket from Michaels.

And here in the corner of my "coffee bar room" I stuck that cool chair and draped my great-grandmother's quilt over the back for a fun accent in the room.

Not pictured is the gilded frame, I have ideas for repurposing that later ;)

Christmas Wish List

Just a few favorites I'm coveting that are on my wish list :)

What's on your wish list this year?

Lilly Pulitzer Resort

I LOVE Lilly Pulitzer. The colors! The prints! The clothes just make me happy :) I am constantly perusing their website, such eye candy! Which brings me to the point of my rant - the Resort Catalogue just launched, and I want everything! I want to plan a Christmas Caribbean getaway just to have an excuse to buy something.
(St. Lucia, anyone?)

Here are some of my favorites!!

Love the peach/mint combo, can't go wrong with a caftan! Beach to dinner!

Love the seashell print and it has a gorgeous back

Love the palm leaves and pink detail

The ever popular Elsa in a new, bright print!

Love the pink tassels!

My fav palazzo pants in a fun pinky retro print :)

A cute, easy, throw-on-and-go dress!

What are your tried-and-true Lilly favorites?
